Program Overview

Program Title: KOICA-SNU Master's Degree Program in Capacity Building for SDGs_(Asia)

▣ Degree: Master of Public Administration (MPA)

▣ Duration:

1) Stay duration: August 28, 2022 to December 31, 2023 (about 17 months of study in Korea)

※ During their stay at SNU, students are strongly advised to complete their thesis.

2) Academic duration: September 2022 ~ February 2024(18 months)

※ Under university regulations, the diploma will be issued in February 2023, February 2024, and February 2025, respectively.

▣ Objectives:

1) To improve SDG implementation capacity of public officials and civil experts in Asian countries by offering knowledge and understanding about public and civil sector management, big and small data analysis, and public policy-making process analysis.
2) To train public and civil experts to become competent agents contributing to UN SDGs' successful implementation in their countries and throughout the Asian region.
3) To share Korean's models and experiences of SDG implementation, provide practical knowledge of public management and public/civil sector innovations that accelerated South Korea's growth, and ultimately assist public and civil experts in successfully promoting SDG development in their countries.
4) To facilitate ongoing communication between public officials from Korea and KOICA's Asian Plus partner countries.

English fluency that requires no translation

▣ Accommodations

1)Seoul National University Dormitory (Gwanak Residence Halls)
∙ Double occupancy: 2 people per room
∙ Each room is furnished with a bedroom, desk, bookshelf, closet (per person), interphone, and refrigerator.
∙ Personal items, including blankets and pillows, are not provided.
∙ Possessing or using any electric heating appliances is strictly banned.
∙ Dormitory facilities: cafeteria, convenient store, snack bars, gym, and prayer room for Muslim students
∙ Every residence hall has a communal kitchen on each floor.
